Dira Pinky Ponky Peacock Dress

I have been sooooo lazy to write but not so much in sewing so this is the backdated project but be prepared.. because this is a VERY lovely dress, and it had three pieces all together. The dress was made for three siblings for their birthday party and also aqiqah.

This dress is similar to Siska dress design but without the front opening but a zipper at the back bodice instead. Size 00 for baby Dira =)

The ribbon, bow and a vertical line are sewn as an embellishment. Luv it!

Mardhiah and Maisarah’s GreenRibbonDress



In the name of Allah the Most Merciful and Graceful

This fabric was bought just before I met Ama (Rahmatul Hidayah) and she chosen it to make a dress for her daughters each. I myself fell in love with the printing of this fabric on the first sight. I really think I want to tell you the story..

As usual.. I went straight to the cotton section when I'm buying fabric for my girls and PIPOP. I'm quite frustrated with the shopping session this time because I couldn't find pretty fabric printing that catches my eyes. So in my way back, I stumbled onto this fabric and I put my finger to the fabric, rubbing it.. between my fingers.. just to feel the fabric condition (like I always do when I pass to any group of fabric).

And I am so surprised that the feels is so similar to cotton but with added coolness. It's not like normal baju kurung fabric such as polyester, crepe, chiffon etc. And it's called viscose. I promptly asked the workers to cut the fabric, along with 3 other fabric printing from this viscose fabric group.

I called this fabric green grass, because it has such a very pretty and catchy green colour, with small flower with so many colours, which make this fabric printing such a very colourful and sweet product.

Sure enough, this fabric is the one chosen by Ama for her daughters' dresses. I know that I would too.. and the results can be seen at this PIPOP page

My next meeting on that day was with K.Roz, and this fabric was again chosen to be her two daughters' next dresses.

Mardhiah was there too, I showed her My Ribbon Dress, and she loved it. But since K.Roz wants two dresses from the same fabric pattern, she ordered new dresses from PIPOP. Mardhiah wants a ribbon in front of the dress, but after I finished sewing GreenGreenGrass Dress and published it on PIPOP facebook, she saw the dresses I made for Amani and Asfa, Mardhiah told her mom that she wants something-like-belt on the waistline along with the ribbon.

K.Roz wants a short sleeve and a heel-length skirt. So, with those specific design requested by mother and daughter, the Green Ribbon Dress were finished!

Mardhiah wears the dress right away, after she received it. While for Maisarah..she doesn't have a clue of what she was wearing =) but still.. she's so cute! And the dresses too~~

Love Dress

In the name of Allah the most gracious and merciful

I love the fullness of this Love Dress. I named it after those 3 two-layer love appliqué. The appliqué was sewn in the middle of the love shape which made it look like its flying! =)

Well.. love is in the air..=))

This dress was actually made in a rush because we were invited to a birthday party in last minute. I design this dress to match an available dress that was embellished with the same flying love appliqué. But why?

Because.. the party was to celebrate two sisters, 3 and 1 y.o. This love dress was made for the 1 y.o. birthday girl. I couldn't quite remember their names though =(

Okay, back to the Love Dress..

The dress was shirred on the bodice, the shoulder strap was slightly gathered on the joining with the bodice piece, and a butterfly sleeves was added to the straps.. As you can see, the shoulder straps were made with a stripy pattern fabric, and this is also used on the skirt floor. This stripy fabric is a bit robust, when it's doubled on the floor skirt, it makes the skirt to stay full. And I can say that this is one of the beauties of this dress.

Hopefully the birthday girls are happy with their presents from us, that made by me, presenting PIPOP. That's all for now..see you all later insyaAllah..

GreenGreenGrass Dress

Assalamualaikum

These dresses have been using fabric Italian Viscose and it feels soft, flowy and cold when touched. It was ordered by Rahmatul Hidayah for her two princesses Amani 2y.o and Asfa 6months old. It was requested to follow the exact same as Pinkish Dress (made for my princesses). The only difference is that she doesn't want the neck to be as wide as The Pinkish Dress.

So here they are..

Shirred on bodice and cuffs but for the baby, the cuff is so short so I skip the shirring on it. The skirts are trapezium shape makes them so sweet when worn.

For an extra special dress (which I was told these dress will be worn in a wedding as a flower girl) I added a sequin embroidered green flower on the bodice. For sure, this dress will stand out in front of any other dress =) hope so! hihi..

These are one sweet dress with super comfy fabric and pretty special design. Love it. Hopefully they'll love it too!!

Siska Dress

Assalamualaikum.. =)

Today I would like to show not my latest project but still recent and it's called Siska Dress, complimentary of my niece's name~Siska. What a nice name right? And..of course this dress was made for her!!

Using Swiss Cotton fabric, this very cute dress size 00 is for 6months old baby. Actually the colour is a very bright red (camera not so good..) so I decided to softened the colour by mixing it with soft pink fabric with stripes printing.

These two pictures have one difference and surely you can immediately spot it.

I thought that the dress was done after embellishing it with the bow but I can't help myself from thinking of something else needed to be added to the dress as something is not quite right. So I tried to add something, searching for ideas from what available in hands, then I spot a straight cut scrap fabric and I know that this had to be the bow's hanging ribbon. I zigzag stitch the sides of fabric, same as what I did to the bow, and hand stitch the ribbon to the back of the bow. Hah..it's done and I'm satisfied enough to pass it to Siska for wearing.. does this makes you dizzy hehehe.. sorry.. only that I myself having quite a headache solving this.

Siska Dress is a three tiered skirt with a slightly left side-opening bodice. I finished the side-opening with the pink fabric bias, as well as the end of cuffs and under the arm for uniqueness =)

Have I told you lately (that I love you..*song*) that the dresses I made were exclusive and will not be replicated? Even if the design is same, the fabric won't. So be sure and satisfied enough that your princesses have the one and only dress in the world unless you wanted it to be the same for siblings or special occasion..of course I'll be happy to do it for you.. PIPOP is a dress-making boutique with a factory making price.

Okay..back to Siska Dress..

Hopefully this will nicely and sweetly suits Siska and her mother will love it because at her age, Siska won't notice a thing about her dress..hmm~~
